Sweet and Sour Pork 咕噜肉

Hi everyone,
Today I am going to teach you how to make Sweet and Sour Pork..
I remember my bro love it so much and it is always the must-order-dish when my family have dinner in the restaurant..
Well, I guess everyone loves it..haha..
We do have a lot in US but so far those aren't authentic..=(
I made it last week for my friend's Birthday since she has been craving for so long..=)

Ingredients:
200g pork
4tbs oil
2tbs tapioca flour

IB
1/2 size of green pepper
1/4 size of yellow onions
2 cloves of garlic
1/2 size of tomatoes

Marinating Sauce
1/2 tbs of light soy sauce
1 tbs of abalone/ oyster Sauce
1/2 tbs of sugar
1/2 tbs of Sesame Oil
1/2 tbsp of Tsao Xing Wine
1 tbsp of Water
Some pepper and salt

Sweet & Sour Sauce
4 tsp tomato sauce
4 tsp water
1tsp of sugar
1/2 of white vinegar

Steps:
1. Marinate pork with the marinating sauce of at least 1 hour.
2. Mixed tapioca flour with the marinated pork.
3. Add oil into the pan and fried the pork until it's brown.
4. Remove the pork from the pan and put in on top of some paper towel to remove the excess oil.
5. Use the leftover oil from the pan to fried IB (fried onion first, then the other three ingredients) until fragment.
6. Add pork and Sweet & Sour Sauce into the pan.
7. Mixed well everything.
8. Serve with white rice=)

Tips:
1. I used to marinate the night before I sleep, so that the meat will taste better and I can cook it when I am back from school. There is like a theory which said that, the longer the time for marination, the better the meat taste. haha..=P
2. I love to marinate food in a sandwich bag because it is easy to mix up everything and store it into the fridge.
3. You can use any types of onion. I guess it doesn't matter?
4. You can also use any type of white vinegar. For me, I am using the sushi rice vinegar that I usually use for my sushi.
5. You can deeply fried it to make it taste better.

I hope you enjoy my recipe!
Happy Cooking!

For example, Milo! Indomie!山楂饼! Ping pong brand biscuit!鲳鱼!...-.-.. =D
You will also can get a bit hyper with those uncommon things/ unfavourite/ soso items  that you used to have when you are at home
For me, they are like Nescafe Coffee, AikCheong Coffee..and 黑木耳 (Black Wood Ear)
Without thinking too much I bought the Black Wood Ear from the Chinese Market..
I am not always a fans to this food..
Well, anyway, I got it and I don't want to waste it..
So, I called my mum how to cook it..I came with my own idea..

Tips:
1.Used boiled water to soften the Black Wood Ear, but don't boiled it!
2. This dish will take a LONG time..so, cook it in a weekend =)
3. Be aware of the water in the pot! You can stew a dish without enough water in it or you will burn it.
4. You can add Tofu Pok if you want. I am adding them in it here =D

Indeed after doing some research on it, I found out that it is actually good especially women because it helps to improve your skins condition, helps in blood circulation, helps in prevention iron deficiency anemia. However, this is not too suitable for pregnant women. =)

Good Luck! Happy Cooking!
